For over a decade Brandnetics has acted as a major retailer for several exclusive product importers and distributors.
These products still generate significant interest for the retail section due to our knowledge of web marketing.
In addition, an import-export division was set up in order to strategically source exclusive products at source, and supply retailers direct.
Products were initially sought for Brandnetics that could fit into the retailing range by sourcing directly and then retailing direct, however, it was decided that with our skills and knowledge, we would investigate other markets.
The markets being addressed are those which represent growth markets going forwards as well as ones that could perform well in difficult economic circumstances - for example products that provide significant cost savings for purchasers or a competitive advantage for them. An example of an appropriate market could be the green/eco-market as many large companies are committed to going down this route and cannot easily pull out of initiatives and targets already committed to and publicised in annual reports. In addition, many green/eco-products produce cost savings. An example could be our exclusive tyre pressure warning valve cap that saves significant road fuel and tyre damage by indicating low-pressure situations on company fleets.
Another market area that is being targeted is the use of technology to significantly reduce labour requirements. An example of this would be the By The Glass® wine serving systems for bars, restaurants and hotels that permit a wine bar to be operated by one person rather than two or three, a hotel to operate a prepaid smart card self-service wine bar or a restaurant to open and sell expensive and high margin bottles of wine by the glass without them going off within a day. This is now in operation with exclusivity for the UK & Ireland.
Another example is a fleet management system that identifies wastage within the fleet labour pool as well as vehicle operational wastage and can help companies reduce their on the road engineer/sales team size whilst still achieving the same results by eliminating inefficiencies.
Exclusive agency/distribution status is continually being sought for products whereby Brandnetics can apply its sales and marketing skills to their full effect.
